The following is an abbreviated list of conferences and expert workshops facilitated by SMI principals:

• Cryptosporidium detection using continuous flow centrifugation - National Cheng Kung University, Tai’nan, Taiwan.  2005.  Dr. Hsu conducted a series of hands-on workshops on innovative methods for the detection of waterborne protozoan pathogens including Cryptosporidium parvum.
  
  
• Expert workshop on Cryptosporidium detection methods - Environmental Protection Administration, Taiwan.  2005.  Dr. Hsu conducted a workshop on Cryptosporidium detection methods using continuous flow centrifugation.
  
  
• Methods for the Recovery of Viruses in Water - Environmental Protection Agency - Taiwan. 2005.  Delivered a lecture series on advanced techniques for the recovery of viral pathogens from water.  
  
  
• Workshop on detection of viral indicators of water pollution (Monash University – Malaysia).   2003.   Dr. Hsu conducted an expert workshop on viral detection methods.  National Public Health Laboratory & Malaysian Ministry of Health.
