3 - Medium Preparation
Laboratory 3 is configured to prepare the media necessary to conduct microbial analyses and is equipped with three autoclaves including a floor model, steam-driven AMSCO sterilizer. Sample preparation is performed in this area. Ultrapure (18.2 MOhm resistivity) water is produced in this laboratory following deionization and reverse osmosis water treatment. The laboratory is equipped with pH meters, precision turbidimeters, conductivity meters, infrared thermometers, multiple UV/Vis spectrophotometers and a double door convection oven for drying glassware.
