Laboratory 2 - Field Samples Lab

The laboratory is configured with a series of microbiological workstations for processing water concentrates that will be subjected to enumerative assay for bacteria and protozoan parasites. This laboratory accommodates standard indicator tests (total coliforms, E. coli & coliphages) as well as more sophisticated testing procedures for protozoan parasites (Cryptosporidium & Giardia). The room includes a biological safety cabinet for handling level II pathogens.
