Laboratory 1 - MicroscopyLaboratory 1 is dedicated exclusively to microscopy services and is configured to provide complete control over room lighting for epifluorescence procedures. Microscopes include an Olympus BX-50 equipped with PlanApo optics for epifluorescence, phase-contrast, brightfield, and differential interference contrast microscopy. The microscope is complemented with a digital imaging workstation for capture of photomicrographs under all optical configurations. The microscopy laboratory also includes Zeiss Diavert and American Optical Biostar inverted microscopes for examination of infected cell cultures.
