Use the new EasyPhage medium to enumerate and quantify bacteriophages present on food or in a water sample.  The Easygel media contains ingredients to stimulate the growth of E. coli species susceptible to specific coliphages.

Important features of the medium include bacterial staining solution to produce good contrast between plaques and host bacterial “lawn.” By eliminating the need to handle molten agar, EasyPhage produces better recoveries and is so much simpler than traditional Single Agar Layer method (EPA Method 1602) that everyone in the laboratory can easily perform the test and detect the presence of these viruses.
